Gifts From Jada Foundation, Inc. (GFJF) was founded in 2009 by Keith & Sasheena Reynolds. It is in honor of their late daughter, Jada Julissia Reynolds who was the first baby born in Broward County, FL on December 25, 2007 at the Broward General Medical Center, Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. She was featured on the news and in the newspaper for her very special birth. She was indeed a gift to them on that early Christmas morning.
Her precious little life ended tragically 11 months later, a few weeks shy of her 1 year birthday due to a tragic home fire. Not only did Jada die but they lost everything, which as you can imagine, left their family saddened and devastated. Thankfully, so many organizations and individuals intervened and gave to their family to help restore them. They prayed for a way to get through and survive the sorrowful season and were inspired to turn their grief into giving through Acts 20: 35 “…it is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Jada was a gift given to them so to celebrate her life and give back, they started the Gifts From Jada Foundation, which was birthed from a place of grief and gratitude, and is organized to provide grief support, relief, and resources for children, teens, adults, and families following the death of a loved one.
